I also offer Ecotherapy, a form of therapy based on the understanding that we are deeply and inherently connected to the natural world. Our relationship with the earth and the natural world as a culture has changed over time. This has affected our sense of connection with it, which enables us to feel a true experience of belonging and a sense of our place in the world.
Ecotherapy involves taking psychotherapy outside into the natural world in order to help us explore, understand and integrate our inner and life experiences. Spending time in nature helps deepen our inner process of reflection and our potential for transformation. As we allow ourselves to directly experience our interconnection with the natural world, it offers us profound support through a deepened sense of safety and belonging. As we encounter and interpret the natural world it seems to symbolise and reflect back to us aspects of ourselves, our feelings and our experiences in a way that helps us make sense of them and give them meaning.
